The Role: 

This Benefits Analyst position involves the management of retirement benefit plans, including saving plans, pension plans, employee communications and benefit administration. Primarily responsible for administering the retirement plans, vendor management, and employee communications, as well as identifying and developing process improvements. Additionally, this position handles the compliance of all benefit plans including, but not limited to, plan documents, regulatory filings and audits. Works with legal where necessary to ensure all benefits documentation are legally compliant..

Work Location: Hybrid based in Auburn Hills, Michigan
Reports to: Benefits & Retirement Manager

What will you do? 

• Validate, input and maintain payroll data to ensure the accurate and efficient delivery of payroll services; prepare payroll for bank submission and entry into financial systems; prepare manual payments when required; prepare payroll reports and reconciliations.
• Carry out a wide range of HR data processing tasks as directed; advise other colleagues and provide guidance on processes when needed.
• Create a local document management system for an office or department.
• Prepare moderately complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for reports.
• Support in delivering analyses of HR data and identifying trends to contribute to the creation of HR insights that enable the diagnosis of business issues, enhancement of employee engagement, and/or improvement of business performance.
• Build effective working relationships within the internal client organization and contribute to the management of the partnering relationship, delivering high-quality professional services within established routines or as part of an agreed project.
• Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures, referring complex issues to others.
• Extract relevant data from information provided by others, and input it into spreadsheets or standard formats.
